GED/ONLINE TESTING SERVICES
GED Testing Services
The GED/Online Testing Center offers GED Testing Services to students within the five counties of Bolivar, Coahoma, Quitman, Sunflower and Tunica Counties. The General Education Development (GED) test is administered to those persons who desire to earn a high school equivalency diploma if they were unable to complete their high school education.

General Information
The GED Test consists of language arts; writing, language arts reading, math, science and social studies. The cost for the initial test is $40. Should you not pass a section or sections of the test, you may retake that section or sections at a cost of $12 each. You may take the same section of the test only three times during a calendar year.

Effective February 1, 2012, the GED testing fee will be $75.00 for the full battery and $15.00 for each part.
- You are not enrolled in a secondary school.
- You are not a compulsory-school-age child. A “compulsory school-age child” means a child who has not attained the age of (17) years on or before September 1 of the calendar year.
- Must show an official statement from the last school attended giving date the applicant officially withdrew from school or regular high school class graduated.
- Must attend registration and complete a notarized GED Applicationand Demographic Form. You may download the GED Application by clicking on thislink. The GED Application must be notarized. A Notary Public is available at the GED/Online Testing Center on the Coahoma Community College Campus on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The Demographic Form is only available at the GED/Online Testing Center on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

To request a copy of your GED Transcripts, please complete the GED Transcript Request Form (Insert Link to GED Transcript Request PDF) and mail it along with a $5.00 money order, cashier or certified check (cash, personal checks, debit or credit cards WILL NOT be accepted) to:

Requirements for COMPASS Testing
1. The COMPASS test is required for students under the age of twenty-one (21) who have not taken the ACT test. Even if a student has taken the ACT Residual for admission to Coahoma Community College, the student must take the COMPASS test before registering for classes.
2. Students who have taken the ACT and submitted their scores to the Office of Admissions and Records may elect to take the COMPASS test in order to challenge placement in a Math, Reading, or English course.
3. Students over the age of twenty-one (21), who have not taken the ACT arestrongly encouraged to take the full battery of the COMPASS test BEFOREregistering for college-level courses. If a student enrolls in a college-level course and does not have the skills needed to succeed in that course, the student will be referred for further testing, advising, and placement including taking the COMPASS test.
