SNAP E&T Program

Are you a Coahoma Community College Career and Technical Education student who has exceeded 96 hours, but haven’t yet met requirements to obtain a degree? Are you interested in enrolling in one of CCC’s short-term Health Sciences programs, but don’t have the required funds?

Well, CCC is now offering a unique opportunity to receive additional financial resources that may be able to assist you!

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) Tuition Assistance Program is partnering with CCC to offer additional financial resources for career and technical students as well as those enrolled in short-term programs.

Developed by the Mississippi Department of Human Services Division of Field Operations and the Mississippi Community College Board, the program was designed to assist eligible SNAP recipients with funds to cover tuition and other related educational expenses that are not covered by a Pell Grant or other federal or state grants to accomplish educational goals.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is intended to assist eligible SNAP recipients by providing access to career and technical courses and/or short term programs.  

This program will be beneficial to students who are partial Pell Grant recipients or who are not Pell Grant eligible.”

Students who are SNAP recipients and enrolled in the following majors may be eligible for the program:

Automotive Technology


Business and Office Technology


Child Development

Collision Repair

Computer Servicing Technology


Culinary Arts

Hotel & Restaurant Management




Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Emergency Medical Technology (EMT)



Practical Nursing (PN)
