Phlebotemy/EKG (Course: CEI-131A)

This is a 2 semester certificate program designed to train entry-level students for drawing blood in hospitals and doctors' offices.  The students will also be trained in the performing and evaluation of EKGs.application must be completed by August 31 for admission to the class for the fall semester. Students who apply for the Phlebotomy/EKG Program must meet the following requirements:

  1. Completed application
  2. Official copy of high school transcript or Official GED passing scores
  3. Test for Adult Basic Education Test (TABE) scores with a minimum of 10 in Math and Reading
  4. Copy of Drivers License
  5. Social Security Card
  6. Copy of Immunization Record showing
    1. MMR
    2. Hepatitis B series (can be completed after entry to program)
    3. Varicella or chicken pox shot or titers (can be completed after entry to program)
    4. 2-step TB skin test

*Criminal Background and Drug Screen will be required upon admission
