CCC Fall Registration Plans in Full Swing
CLARKSDALE – Coahoma Community College Registrar Michael Houston reports plans are in full swing for 2013 Fall Registration at CCC with dates targeting specific groups.
Overnight orientation for freshmen and transfer students and their parents is scheduled Thursday and Friday August 1 and 2 in the Pinnacle with activities acquainting them with college life.
“At the conclusion of the second day, new students will be able to register,” explains Houston.
To accommodate many working students with day jobs, Cynthia Williams, CCC educational outreach director, says a schedule of registration in their hometowns/off-campus sites is in place.
“At 6 p.m., we will have registration Thursday, Aug. 1 in Tunica at Tunica Middle School and in Webb at West Tallahatchie High School,” Williams says.
On Monday, August 5, registration at 6 p.m. will be held in Mound Bayou at John F. Kennedy High School and in Marks at the Quitman County Vocational Center.
On Tuesday, August 6, registration will be held at Shaw High School in Shaw; on Wednesday, August 7, at West Bolivar High School in Rosedale; and on Thursday, August 8 at Charleston High School.
Registration in the Pinnacle on CCC’s main campus kicks off Wednesday, August 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and continues in the Pinnacle Thursday and Friday, August 8-9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Students attending off-campus night classes will also be registered in the Pinnacle Wednesday evening.
Classes begin Monday, August 12.
CCC faculty and staff return to campus for professional development Monday August 5.
