CCC Soliciting Student Advice About Registration Process
CLARKSDALE, MS – During the second week of Fall Registration, Coahoma Community College President Dr. Valmadge Towner is putting himself inside the shoes of his students to try and identify and improve their overall registration experience. He spent time walking around the college and interacting with parents and students and absorbing their thoughts and ideas pertaining to the registration process.
“I enjoy walking the campus and speaking with students,” Towner said. “They have been able to convey what areas of campus life we need to enhance and I’ve been very appreciative for the feedback that I have received from them about our registration process.”
In an effort to improve that process, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) will be asking for participation from those students who just completed the 2013 Fall Registration process. A survey will be released to students this week.
“The (OIE) staff will be placing posters across campus and sharing flyers with students,” said OIE Vice President Rosemary Craven Lamb. “In addition, this survey has been posted on CCC's Facebook page, CCC's homepage, and CCC's Twitter account for easy access. Our students' opinions and voices are important at Coahoma Community College.”
Students can take this survey by scanning the QR code located on one of the flyers located around campus or clicking on the online link provided on the website and through the institution's social media sites. Free QR barcode scanner apps are available for most smart phones by searching, “QR barcode scanner”.
The survey can also be found online at http://www.coahomacc.edu/studentopinionsurvey.php .
The last day to register and to change class schedules for day and evening classes at Coahoma Community College is Friday, Aug. 23rd.
