CCC Students Prepare to Elect Next Year’s Student Leaders

Tomorrow’s potential student leaders have been busy this week at Coahoma Community College hanging election posters, filming campaign videos and spreading the word about their candidacies. They are moving quickly to get their names out before the online elections commence on Monday and Tuesday next week (March 24-25) to fill the positions of Mr. and Miss CCC, and the Student Government Association offices of President and Treasurer.

The new Mr. and Miss Coahoma Community College and SGA officers will be announced at noon on Thursday (March 27) in the Zee A. Barron Student Union.

The outgoing leaders for the 2013-2014 term are Amaya Berry of Clarksdale, current SGA President; Wairterrica Galmore of Friars Point, current Miss CCC; Gregory Holly of Clarksdale, current Mr. CCC; and Kadesa Wilson, of Cleveland, current SGA treasurer.

Polls will be open at 9 a.m. on Monday (March 24) morning and will close at 4 p.m. on Tuesday (March 25). Students can login and vote using the first initial of their first name paired with their last name as their username, and their student ID number as their password.

Example: Student’s name — Jon Williams. Username = jwilliams
