CLARKSDALE – Coahoma Community College is proud to announce its Jan. 2017 Employees of the Month.

Honored as CCC’s faculty Employee of the Month is Barbara Boschert of Duncan, MS.

Boschert joined CCC’s faculty in 2008 and currently serves as the Social Science Chair and as a History Instructor for CCC’s Division of Academic Affairs.

Boschert holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Arkansas. She also holds a master’s degree in History Education from Delta State University and is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership.

“I feel very honored and grateful to work at such a wonderful place,” Boschert said. “The students really inspire me to be a better teacher.”

Outside of work, Boschert enjoys reading, gardening, baking and working on her dissertation.

Honored as CCC’s staff Employee of the Month is Trina Cox of Clarksdale, Miss.

Cox joined CCC’s staff in 1999 as an administrative assistant before joining the Division of Enrollment and Student Services as the Coordinator of Career Services and Placement/SNAP Coordinator in Aug. 2014.

“I am very excited. …It’s an honor to be recognized,” said Cox. “I love being able to assist students and help them achieve their career goals.”

Outside of work, Cox enjoys reading, shopping and spending time with family.

The purpose of CCC’s Employee of the Month program is to recognize and reward faculty and staff who exhibit work and behaviors that support and further the mission, goals, values and initiatives of Coahoma Community College.

CCC faculty and staff can submit nominations. The nominee must be a full-time employee. A committee, chaired by CCC Director of Employee Services Michael Houston, is responsible for reviewing nominations and selecting a faculty and a staff honoree. The nominees are judged based on attitude and commitment, interpersonal skills, work performance, and personal traits.

Each Employee of the Month winner will receive a picture, a designated parking spot, a shirt from CCC’s Bookstore, a hair style or cut courtesy of CCC’s Cosmetology/Barbering Department, marquee announcement and website recognition.
