CLARKSDALE – Coahoma Community College Division of Health Sciences will celebrate its recent accreditation accomplishments while showcasing its educational opportunities during an Open House.

Last month, the Division announced that all of its long-term and certificate programs had achieved national and/or state accreditation.

In celebration of this achievement, the community is invited to join CCC faculty, staff and students Thursday, April 27, at the Robert G. Brick Mason Health Sciences Building, located at 901 Ohio Ave. in Clarksdale, MS.

The free event, hosted from 5:30 to 7 p.m., will feature a brief program as well as information about CCC Health Sciences program and tours of the building and the new Health Sciences annex currently under construction.

“We invite everyone to join us as we celebrate the accreditation of our programs through various national and/or state organizations,” said CCC Dean of Health Sciences Beverly Overton. “This is also a recruitment opportunity for individuals who may be interested in pursuing one of our programs.”

Programs recognized for achieving accreditation include Associate Degree Nursing (ADN); Practical Nursing (PN); Nursing Assistant; Polysomnography; Paramedic; and Respiratory Care.
