CLARKSDALE – Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) often face unpredictable work schedules, which makes advancing their career as a paramedic even more difficult.

Not anymore!

Coahoma Community College’s (CCC’s) Paramedic program is rolling out a new flexible class schedule that will make it possible for EMTs to continue their education on their own terms.

According to CCC EMT Program Director Rhett Nelson, starting this fall, paramedic students will be able to choose from four days when they would prefer to attend classes.

“This gives students the ability to decide what is most convenient for them and eliminates the worry of falling behind,” Nelson said.

According to Nelson, the new schedule will serve as an additional quality that sets CCC apart as the premier source for Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) and Paramedic training.

“Our new flexible schedule, coupled with major medical center rotations and cadaver lab experience are what set our program apart,” Nelson said. “We invite all EMTs interested in advancing their career to seriously consider CCC.”

The paramedic program is now accepting applications through June 8 for Fall 2017 admittance to its Associate Degree Paramedic Program.
