Early Childhood Development Technology

Program Description: The Early Childhood Development Technology program provides preparation for a professional career in the discipline of Early Childhood Education spanning a variety of career options. This discipline includes classroom instruction, supervised laboratory experiences, and work-based learning experiences. Students will develop competencies that enable them to provide services, teach, and guide young children as related to various child development professions. Completion of these courses provides the student with course content assessed in the Child Development Assistant (CDA) for the licensing exams for the Infant-Toddler and Pre-School.  However, it is noted that the additional work experience required to sit for the CDA exam is not included in these courses.
