The Mission of the Child Development Technology Program is to provide an in-depth look at increasing positive child development from infancy through age eight. This program will help students create a solid foundation for these early learners.
The goals of the Child Development Technology Department are to:
- To provide students with the necessary tools needed to develop an understanding of cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to build on young children’s individual strengths and respond to their unique challenges.
- To provide two years of preparations in childcare and development with the necessary skills needed to secure employment.
- To help students harness their passion for working with young children and translate it into developing effective childcare provider practices.
- To develop an awareness and understanding of the factors that contribute to the development and learning in the lives of children who range from infancy to age eight.
