About Us
Coahoma Community College was awarded funding by the United States Department of Labor to address the needs of the healthcare industry by expanding the college’s training capacity to help ameliorate the nursing shortage in the North West Delta Region.
The grant will allow the college to admit a second class into the Licensed Practical Nursing Program and implement an RN Accelerated Nursing Program. Other activities include the Math and Science Tutoring Program, the Summer Nursing Residency Program, career ladder opportunities and professional development for math and science teachers and students.
To implement the activities covered in this grant, Coahoma Community College partnered with the following healthcare and educational institutions:
