Math & Science Tutoring Program
Purpose
The Math and Science Tutoring Program is designed to facilitate students’ learning by offering one-on-one tutoring in math and science.
Goals
- To provide one-on-one tutoring in math and science
- To facilitate students’ adaptation to the college environment and rigorous work load
- To support the faculty in their effort to provide quality education to a diverse student population
- To increase student’s interest and involvement in their course work
- To increase student’s ability to successfully complete coursework
How to Receive Tutoring
Tutoring occurs on a referral basis during scheduled hours. However, students may request tutoring services without an instructor’s referral. For the initial visit, students should:
- Contact the Remedial Coordinator to schedule an appointment. The Coordinator may be reached at (662) 621-4086.
- Bring a copy of the referral form from the referring instructor.
- Provide a copy of his/her class schedule.
