Sharifa Nailah Jones is Miss Coahoma Community College 2007-2008. She is the nineteen year old daughter of Samuel and Girtie Jones from Shelby, MS.  She graduated from the Piney Woods Life School in Jackson, MS in the top ten percent of her class. She is a sophomore at Coahoma Community College that is currently majoring in Speech Language Pathology. She is a member of the  SGA, Cheerleading squad, CCC Student Ambassadors, Resident Assistant committee, and Phi Theta Kappa.

Sharifa enjoys reading, writing, shopping, learning about African- American culture, and traveling. Her goal is to become a Speech Language Pathologist and someday own her own speech language pathology clinic. She volunteers at local daycares reading to younger children in her spare time. She also plans to setup a community recreation center for disadvantaged children in her hometown.

Sharifa believes that knowledge is not what you can remember, but what you cannot forget.
