Placement is mandatory for all entering first year students (including on-campus and off-campus evening students) whose declared program of study is academic or technical.

The college will utilize sub-scores of ACT or Freshmen Placement Examination for placement purposes. If ACT sub-test scores are below standards, students are required to take skill enhancement courses or a Freshman Placement Examination as a means of challenging skill enhancement placement. If scores are above standards on the Freshman Placement Examination students, do not have to take skill enhancement courses. However, if they are below standards, enhancement courses are required.
