(Clarksdale, Mississippi) -- The Alpha Omicron Pi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society demonstrated exceptional prowess and achievement at the PTK Catalyst 2024, held from April 4 to April 7, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.

The PTK Catalyst event, hailed as Phi Theta Kappa’s premier annual gathering, convened members, advisors, and supporters for professional development and the celebration of community accomplishments. This year's Catalyst boasted immersive opportunities for personal and professional growth, expert-led college transfer guidance, inspirational speakers, leadership elections, and extensive networking prospects.

Highlighting the Alpha Omicron Pi Chapter's exceptional performance, Anaya Jones was bestowed with the esteemed Distinguished Chapter Member medallion during the Catalyst awards ceremony. Anaya's recognition stemmed from her embodiment of the Society's Hallmarks through exemplary participation in Honors in Action and other chapter initiatives. Prior to Catalyst, Anaya Jones was honored at the 2024 MS/LA Regional Spring Leadership Conference/Gala, where she received the Regional Hallmark Award for Distinguished Chapter Member.

Mr. JoHarrison Rockett and Mrs. Monica Tompkins were recipients of the Horizon Award, acknowledging their outstanding commitment to Phi Theta Kappa as dedicated advisors. The Alpha Omicron Pi Chapter President, Malundra Jones, clinched the prestigious Golden Key Award for exemplifying Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Fellowship, the hallmark values of Phi Theta Kappa.

Further affirming the chapter's excellence, the Alpha Omicron Pi Chapter was recognized with the Regional Hallmark Award for Honors Study 6 Topic Theme (Nostalgia As Play) and achieved the prestigious Five Star Level Award. In a significant triumph, the chapter secured the regional officer position of Northern District Representative for the 2024/2025 term, with Cimmion Ross appointed to represent the CCC PTK chapter.

Mrs. Monica M. Tompkins, CCC PTK Contact Advisor, was honored with the Regional Hallmark, Bennie Warren Outstanding Advisor Award for 2024, underscoring her invaluable contribution to the chapter's success.

Special recognition is extended to Mrs. Cynthia Roberson, Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation Liaison, for her dedicated support and guidance to the Honors in Action group, facilitating their impactful research initiatives.
