(Clarksdale, MS) – Coahoma Community College (CCC) proudly announces the top academic performers of the 2024 graduating class. This year, we celebrate Cade Gadman as Valedictorian and Garrett Smith as Salutatorian for their outstanding academic achievements and extracurricular leadership.

Cade Gadman, is a sophomore Sports Management major hailing from Clinton, MS. His markable academic achievements that exemplify Coahoma Community College's commitment to excellence. Additionally, his active role in campus athletics as a baseball player underscores the institution's dedication to well-rounded student development.

Garrett Smith, an accounting major, significantly contributes to both the academic and athletic life at CCC. As a member of the CCC Tigers baseball team and a dedicated student from Jackson, Mississippi, Garret demonstrates exemplary leadership both on the field and academically. His dedication to his studies and athletic pursuits showcases a commendable balance of commitment and excellence.

Dr. Valmadge Towner, President of Coahoma Community College, expressed his admiration for these students: "Cade and Garrett represent the highest ideals of our institution—academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement. They have each demonstrated commitment to not only their personal academic pursuits but also to enriching the lives of others around them. We are immensely proud to honor them at this year's commencement."

The commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Pinnacle on the campus of Coahoma Community College. Cade and Garrett will deliver speeches to their classmates, faculty, staff, family, and friends during the event. Their addresses are expected to highlight their academic journeys and their visions for the future.
