Office of Branding, Marketing, and Alumni Engagement.
The Office of Branding, Marketing, and Alumni Engagement has opportunities for students who love Maroon & White as much as we do to gain experience and build their professional portfolios while working with our creative professional staff.
Student workers and interns work with our social media, photo and video, web and digital media, creative services, news, and event planning staff to create content and plan events that highlight just how awesome it is to be a Tiger. Whether you’re interested in work behind the scenes or right in front of the camera, writing features, designing graphics, or planning events, the work you do is sure to be full of opportunities to learn new skills, build your portfolio with real-world experience, and have some fun in the process.
About the Opportunity
Join the Office of Branding, Marketing, and Alumni Engagement and gain hands-on experience while helping tell the Coahoma story. Student workers will support creative projects, campus events, and other activities that promote the college and engage the campus community.
Ways You Can Get Involved
Depending on your skills and interests, you may assist with photography, videography, social media content, editing and writing, or promoting campus events.
Additional Creative Opportunities
You may also have opportunities to work on print and web design, produce digital content, take photos and videos, create social media posts, and write content for the college website. Duties will be matched, when possible, with your interests, experience, and goals.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and submit a résumé along with examples of their work. We are looking for students who are organized, dependable, helpful, attentive to detail, and willing to learn and receive feedback. Basic computer skills, especially experience with Microsoft Office, are required.
Skills That Are a Plus
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, photography, videography, marketing, communications, or other creative technology is preferred—but you do not have to be an expert. We are looking for students who are ready to learn, grow, and gain real-world experience.
Work Schedule
Students may work up to 12 hours per week, with a flexible schedule designed to fit around their classes. Most hours will be scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Students may also have opportunities to work during game days and other special campus events.
