10(Clarksdale, Miss.) — Coahoma Community College proudly announces that Ezra D. Howard, the college’s longtime Director of Web Services, has officially published his debut book, Saved to Serve: Fulfilling the Purpose of Your Salvation, through Renown Books. Howard, who has faithfully served Coahoma for nearly 20 years, brings his passion for ministry, purpose, and personal growth to the forefront through this powerful new publication.

Saved to Serve delivers a transformative message that challenges readers to see salvation as more than a moment of rescue. Howard emphasizes that believers are redeemed with intention—that God saves with purpose, calling individuals to serve others and contribute to the advancement of His kingdom. Through relatable storytelling, biblical insight, and practical encouragement, the book guides readers in discovering the assignments God has placed within them.

The newly released book is available now on Amazon in three formats—paperback, Kindle, and Audible—making it accessible to readers and listeners alike.

To celebrate this milestone, a local book signing event will be held on December 7 at 5:00 PM at St. Luke Church of God in Christ in ehowardMoorhead, Mississippi, where Howard also serves as pastor. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the author, purchase signed copies, and gain deeper insight into the inspiration behind the book.

Howard described the writing process as both challenging and deeply fulfilling, sharing:

“Being my first book, there were moments when the process felt overwhelming. But it taught me how to be consistent and keep writing, and I’m thankful I pressed through and finished. I truly believe this will be the first of many.”

He hopes the book encourages readers to embrace their divine assignments and live intentionally.

“What I hope people take away from this book is that salvation is not the end of the story; it’s the beginning. God saves us with purpose in mind, and there’s something He’s placed in all of us that the world needs.”

Howard’s longstanding commitment to uplifting others—both through his leadership at Coahoma Community College and in his pastoral role—is reflected in the heart of Saved to Serve. His desire is for every reader to walk away empowered to fulfill their God-given purpose.
