Coronation 2024

Clarksdale, Mississippi - Coahoma Community College witnessed a majestic evening as it hosted the coronation ceremony for the 2024-2025 Mister and Miss Coahoma Community College, titled "A Royal Renaissance." The esteemed event, held at the Pinnacle, showcased grace, talent, and leadership among its student body.

Reginald Rodges II and Marquisha Clark, bestowed with the titles of Mister and Miss Coahoma Community College 2024-2025, respectively, emerged as the epitome of excellence amidst an evening adorned with regal splendor.

As a heartfelt homage to the esteemed heritage of Coahoma Community College, President Dr. Valmadge T. Towner and first lady Mrs. Natasha Towner commenced the proceedings, followed by the distinguished presence of former Mister and Miss Coahoma Community Colleges spanning across the years. Their inclusion in the Court of Honor imbued the ceremony with a profound sense of nostalgia and respect. Additionally, the entrance of the 2023-2024 Mr. and Miss Coahoma, Vinterrious Hunt and Brittany Stewart, signified the opening of the coronation festivities, evoking the enduring spirit of excellence that characterizes the Coahoma community.

The event commenced with the Court of Honor, where dignitaries and distinguished guests gathered to honor the tradition and legacy of Coahoma Community College. This was followed by the high court, the higher court, and the highest court, featuring Mr. and Miss Homecoming, Mr. and Miss Freshmen, Mr. and Miss Sophomore, and the esteemed positions of 1st Gentleman and 1st Lady to Mister and Miss CCC.

In a heartwarming farewell address and walk, Mr. and Miss CCC 2023-2024 paved the way for the coronation of the new royal figures. In the midst of a magnificent display, President Dr. Valmadge T. Towner and first lady Mrs. Natasha Towner bestowed the crown upon the shoulders of the newly anointed Mister and Miss CCC 2024-2025.

In a moment of solemnity and promise, the newly crowned royalty recited their royal oath and delivered their acceptance speeches, pledging to uphold the values and spirit of Coahoma Community College.

The ceremony further featured a mesmerizing royal dance by the entire court, symbolizing unity and camaraderie among the student body. Special presentations by Mr. Joharrison Rockett, sponsor for Mr./Miss Coahoma Community College, and Mrs. Nicole Ross, Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Services, added to the grandeur of the occasion.

"A Royal Renaissance" not only celebrated the crowning of new royalty but also embodied the spirit of excellence, leadership, and community that defines Coahoma Community College.
