Coahoma Community College is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2025, and as the countdown to Commencement begins, the Office of Admissions is providing detailed instructions to ensure a smooth and successful graduation experience. With the 73rd Commencement Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025, all graduating students are expected to follow the official graduation checklist and complete each requirement prior to the ceremony.
To begin, students must submit the $65 graduation fee to the Business Office no later than Tuesday, May 6, 2025. This non-refundable fee covers the cost of the diploma, cap, gown, and other related ceremony materials. Graduates should retain their payment receipts and ensure their accounts are cleared of any outstanding balances, as financial obligations must be met before proceeding to cap and gown pickup. The Business Office will be available during normal business hours to process payments and assist with any billing concerns.
In addition to payment, attendance at graduation practice on Wednesday, May 7 at 9:00 a.m. in The Pinnacle is mandatory for all graduates. This rehearsal session is a critical part of the graduation process and allows students to familiarize themselves with the layout of the ceremony. During practice, students will receive instructions on lineup procedures, stage etiquette, diploma collection, and seating arrangements. Faculty marshals and staff will be on hand to guide students through the order of events to help ensure a polished and dignified ceremony. Students should arrive early and be dressed appropriately for the walkthrough.
After rehearsal, students will be allowed to pick up their academic regalia—including cap, gown, and tassel. Caps and gowns will only be distributed to students who have paid the graduation fee in full. No exceptions will be made for unpaid balances, so students are advised to settle their accounts beforehand to avoid any delays.
To stay informed, students should actively check the Graduation Course available on the student portal. This online hub includes essential announcements, updates, FAQs, and other tools to help graduates navigate the final days before Commencement. It also includes contact details for support offices, access to digital forms, and a schedule of upcoming deadlines.
Graduation is a major life milestone and one of the proudest moments in a student’s academic journey. Coahoma Community College faculty and staff are working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that this year’s ceremony honors the resilience, achievements, and bright futures of the Class of 2025. Friends, family, and the community are encouraged to join in the celebration and share in this special occasion.
The Office of Admissions is available to answer any additional questions graduates may have about the rehearsal, payment process, regalia pickup, or ceremony expectations.
