
(Clarksdale, Mississippi) – The Health Sciences Division announced a 100% pass rate for Spring 2026 Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) graduates on their national certification exam. The achievement was recognized during the Health Sciences Pinning Ceremony held at the Pinnacle, highlighting the program’s effectiveness and student workforce readiness.
The achievement was recognized during the Health Sciences Pinning Ceremony, which honored graduates from the Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Phlebotomy and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant programs.
Dr. Chequitia Dixon, dean of health sciences, said the result reflects strong alignment between instruction, certification standards and workforce readiness.
"Students are demonstrating they can meet certification requirements and transition directly into health care roles," Dixon said.
Wanda Hargrow, CCMA instructor, and Dr. Undra Haggan, CCMA instructor, presented the graduates. Students completed training in patient care, medical office operations and certification preparation.

The ceremony also highlighted continued opportunities within the programs, including nursing, respiratory care, paramedic emergency medicine, polysomnography and other allied health fields. The 100% pass rate marks a milestone for the division and reinforces the college's commitment to preparing students for certification, employment and advancement in health care.
