(Clarksdale, Miss.) — Coahoma Community College will join institutions across the nation in celebrating SkillsUSA Week, February 2–6, 2026, recognizing the impact of career and technical education (CTE) and the vital role skilled trades play in building a strong workforce.
Observed each February by SkillsUSA chapters nationwide, SkillsUSA Week provides an opportunity for students, educators, and partners to highlight SkillsUSA programs and activities at the local and state levels. The celebration underscores the organization’s mission to develop personal, workplace, and technical skills grounded in academics while promoting leadership, service, and career readiness.
SkillsUSA represents more than 413,000 middle school, high school, and postsecondary students and educators nationwide and is widely recognized as the nation’s leading workforce development organization for students. With over 444,000 members participating annually, SkillsUSA empowers students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members.
As part of the celebration, Coahoma’s SkillsUSA students are preparing to travel to Jackson to compete in the 2026 SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference, scheduled for March 16–27 and March 31–April 2, 2026.
