Coahoma Community College can add another feather to its proverbial hat, as recently
the institution's Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) was awarded five honors
during the 2020 College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) Awards.
CPRAM is a consortium of public relations and marketing professionals employed at
Mississippi's public and private colleges and universities, as well as affiliated
education agencies.
Typically, the organization holds an annual conference that allows members and attendees
opportunities to receive professional development training, conduct dialogue with
colleagues, and attend the awards ceremony. With the onset of the global COVID-19
pandemic, this year's conference was not a viable option, and the awards ceremony
was conducted virtually.
Marriel C. Hardy, chief communications officer and branding identity, says receiving
these awards is a true testament to the hard work that his team puts in daily. He
hopes that his office continues to produce quality communications and marketing materials
in support of Coahoma.
"I'm always proud and genuinely impressed by the stellar work that OCM produces,"
said Hardy. "We are so fortunate to have a group of creative, imaginative, and hardworking
team members. I am pleased that we, as a unit, are developing a winning tradition."
