Mr Miss 2024

Coahoma Community College is gearing up to host the annual Mr. and Miss Coahoma Community College Competition on Wednesday, February 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the Pinnacle. Admission is free for the public.

This event offers eligible students the chance to vie for the esteemed titles of Mr. and Miss CCC for the academic year 2024-2025.

To enter, students must be enrolled full-time, having finished at least one semester with a minimum of 15 credit hours and upholding a GPA of 3.0. They should also exhibit exemplary conduct and be progressing into their sophomore year in Fall 2024. Moreover, they have the option to secure sponsorship from a Coahoma staff or faculty member.

Nicole Ross, Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Services, has dedicated significant effort to readying herself for this thrilling competition and is eagerly anticipating her involvement in the process.

“In the midst of the busy season, gearing up for this year's pageant has been quite the adventure. Getting to know each contestant on a personal level has been eye-opening.” Said Ross. “At first, they approach the preparation with some hesitation and nerves, but as they dive deeper into the process, their confidence and excitement skyrocket.”

Contestants aspiring to become Mister and Miss CCC undergo a comprehensive preparation process facilitated by the Royal Court Committee, consisting of four practice sessions.

These sessions focus on refining on-stage presentation, including speaking and walking abilities, reviewing attire, honing talent performances, and conducting interview preparations. These targeted practices are designed to bolster students' confidence, equip them with essential skills for pageant success, and offer continuous support throughout their endeavor.

Ross highlighted the importance of a Mr. and Miss Coahoma Community College embodying the finest traits of our institution, including academic prowess, leadership skills, community engagement, and serving as a positive ambassador overall.

Contestants are anticipated to go all out in their quest for the coveted titles. Attendees can expect to be dazzled by the truly remarkable performances showcased by some of Coahoma's most outstanding individuals.

The competition comprises six phases: introductions, a private interview, on-stage questions, a talent competition, swimsuit/athletic competition and an evening wear competition. The winners of the Mr. and Miss CCC titles will be awarded a leadership scholarship and will serve as ambassadors for Coahoma Community College throughout the upcoming school year.

The event will be broadcast live on the official CCC Facebook page.
