

(Clarksdale, Miss.) — Coahoma Community College will host its Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Spring Induction Ceremony on Thursday, March 19, in the Pinnacle. The event will recognize outstanding students for their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to scholarship, while formally welcoming new members into the prestigious international honor society.
Serving as this year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Cynthia Williams-Roberson, a native of Marks, Mississippi, and a dedicated servant leader whose career reflects a steadfast commitment to institutional excellence, equity, and student success.
Dr. Williams-Roberson has served Coahoma Community College for more than fourteen years in a variety of instructional and administrative roles. Her experience includes positions as Director of Educational Outreach, Assistant Director of Institutional Effectiveness, and full-time English instructor. She currently serves as the Director of Research, Assessment, and Strategic Initiatives, where she leads efforts in institutional research, assessment, and strategic planning. In this role, she supports data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives across the college.
Guided by a passion for excellence, Dr. Williams-Roberson is committed to fostering both personal and professional growth while encouraging others to reach their highest potential. Her leadership is marked by collaboration, integrity, and a deep belief in the transformative power of education. Through her work, she continues to strengthen institutional effectiveness and advance initiatives that promote student achievement and organizational success.
A proud alumna of Coahoma Community College, Dr. Williams-Roberson earned her Associate of Arts degree in General Education before continuing her academic journey at Delta State University, where she obtained both a Bachelor of Science in Education in English and a Master of Science in Education in English. She later earned an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Delta State University and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of Mississippi.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Williams-Roberson is married to Mr. Michael Anthony Roberson and is an active member of Valley Queen Missionary Baptist Church, where she serves in various capacities.
