Mary Alice Holmes Towner Scholarship
RESIDENTS OF QUITMAN COUNTY ONLY
The MARY ALICE HOLMES TOWNER SCHOLARSHIP is named in honor of a long-time employee of the college who worked in continuing
education/Ed Outreach and daycare center for the college.
The scholarship is awarded to a resident of Quitman County.
Eligibility/Requirements

You may submit only ONE APPLICATION. This application MUST be completed entirely and your college transcript
must be on file along with your completed Financial Aid packet in order for your application
to be considered. You can NOT start and return; THEREFORE, have your letters of recommendation
and personal essay ready to attach below upon completion of your application. Thank
you for submitting your application.
An applicant must meet the following criteria:
- 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA
- Major in Education
- A personal essay that addresses how you feel education is beneficial to students
- Letters of recommendation are welcome but not required for this scholarship.
Amount: The award amount is $1000
