Welcome to the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER), also
known as HPR!
The HPER Department takes a holistic approach to enhancing quality of life. Through
our courses and programs, students learn valuable strategies for improving their overall
well-being, including participating in physical activity, developing healthier eating
habits, preventing illness, and effectively managing health concerns.
We are committed to providing programs and services that promote the physical, mental,
social, and emotional well-being of students enrolled at Coahoma Community College.
Our multidisciplinary programs also provide a strong academic foundation for students
interested in pursuing careers in sports medicine, exercise science, sports administration,
coaching, recreation, and other health-related fields.
